Castle Bank N. A. (“Castle”) is concerned about the privacy of our current and former customers. We are devoted to maintaining our customers privacy as the Information Age continues to grow. The nonpublic personal information that we receive from our customers and others shall be treated with the utmost discretion as provided herein. The following are Castle's privacy principles: Customers Expectations of Privacy Castle acknowledges and understands the privacy expectations of our customers that their nonpublic personal information be kept private. Employees are kept informed of this fact, and Castle has standards and procedures designed to prevent misuse of this information. Use, Collection and Retention of Customer Information Castle collects, retains and uses information about individual customers only where Castle believes it would be useful (and allowed by law) to administer Castle's business and to provide products, exceptional service and other benefits to our customers. Castle's Information Usage provisions that follow explain these concepts in greater detail. Maintain Accurate Information Castle has procedures to help assure that customer nonpublic personal financial information is accurate, current, and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. Any corrections requests will be dealt with in a timely manner. Limits on Employee Access to Information Only employees who have a business purpose to access a customer's nonpublic personal information are allowed to view personal identification information. All employees are educated in the importance of customer confidentiality and privacy. Castle takes appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities. Protection of Information via Established Security Procedures Castle maintains security standards and procedures to help prevent unauthorized access to confidential customer information. Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information Castle does not reveal specific nonpublic personal information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence, unless 1) the information is provided to help a customer initiated transaction; 2) the customer requests it; 3) the disclosure is required by/or allowed by law; or 4) the customer has been informed about the possibility of such disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and is given the opportunity to decline. Castle's Information Usage provisions that follow explain these concepts in greater detail. Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties Specific information about customer accounts and other personally identifiable information are not revealed to unaffiliated third parties for independent use, but rather to conduct business and make products and services available to our customers. These third party agents, service providers, and product providers safeguard customer information in accordance with applicable law. Disclosure of Privacy Principles to Customers Castle will make efforts to keep customers informed of our privacy principles. Customers who have concerns about their private nonpublic personal information may contact any Castle employee. Cookies A cookie is a piece of data that allows a web site to determine whether the user has visited the site before. This cookie gets transferred to and from the browser on each visit. Castle uses cookies in order to customize our web site and to make your online experience easier. Despite some debate, cookies do not read your hard drive and they cannot reveal anything about you that you have not explicitly revealed. INFORMATION USAGE The provisions of this Information Usage section apply only to individuals and supersede all previous notices or statements with respect to the subject matter described herein. Castle reserves the right to change the provisions of this Privacy Policy and Information Usage section at any time. Exchange of Information outside Castle Bank N.A. Castle maintains procedures designed to protect confidential nonpublic personal information about its customers and the products and services they purchase. It is Castle's general practice to share confidential nonpublic personal customer information outside its affiliated family of banks and companies only when Castle is legally required to share this information or when Castle is legally permitted to share this information to serve the interests of its customers or to address legitimate business concerns. Castle is required, for example, to share nonpublic personal customer information pursuant to a subpoena or court order in connection with a lawsuit or administrative action or when required by federal or state regulatory authorities, such as banking examiners or the Internal Revenue Service, as authorized by federal or state law. Consistent with the practice of other banks and financial services companies, Castle shares certain nonpublic personal information with reputable credit reporting agencies as authorized by federal law and with others who may receive certain information from us under particular circumstances – but only as lawfully permitted or required. Castle also may contract with third parties in order to make available to you certain services or products. For example, Castle may contract with outside agents or service providers to prepare or process account statements or transactions, or provide other materials or services on Castle's behalf. These agents, service providers, and third party product providers safeguard nonpublic personal information in accordance with applicable law.
